Glock on Book TV

Go here for the video.

Good info on the book, but he also talks about the Assault Weapons Ban being bad law.
Guns are fun to shoot (the secret is out).
And that his wife is a better shot than him.
(Video is cut off at the end just as he is talking about black market guns.)

Barrett says much of the same on NPR

And I also found him giving an interview to the most wretched hive of scum and villainy, Democracy Now.

I'm not crazy about the term "Gun Skeptics." It smacks of rebranding, which is common for gun control bigots. (Just ask Handgun Control Inc.)

ETA: It's common knowledge that Giffords owned a Glock 19 (at least it is with gun nuts). Barrett says as much on NPR. It seems like it would be an important piece of information to discuss with Democracy Now, but he does not mention it. I'm willing to bet that he told them before they where on the air, and they told him not to say it.

On this day in History

75 Years ago today was "Black Sunday"...

The 1937 Flood was the greatest natural disaster in Northern Kentucky history. That year, the Ohio River reached a crest of 79.99’ – 27’ above flood stage.

I do have to admit that I just learned this fact today (walking past the TV news) and it has nothing to do with the name of this blog.  That came from my days as a disgruntled dish dog.
