SEIU in the Fine Print

It should be no surprise that SEIU is endorsing the Democrat in the Kentucky Senate race.

But it seems they are trying hard not to advertise it.

And if you need help remembering SEIU:
Note he says he "would not be standing here" without SEIU.

Perhaps her victory speech will sound much the same.

And if you still don't remember SEIU's true colors... They are black and blue.

The man in the brown shirt is Kenneth Gladney, who was getting by selling merchandise at political rallies, Gadsden Flags, and Obama Buttons.

Dana Loesch speaking in front of SEIU HQ after Gladney's beating.

All SEIU members were found not guilty of beating Gladney.

And finally if you did not watch the first video above to the very end, you may not recall that SEIU worked closely with, and shared office space with ACORN, an organization that agreed to "cease all Ohio activity" in a 2010 settlement resulting from voter fraud allegations in 2008.

False Flag

I love the smell of astroturf in the morning...

1976

I have lived in Kentucky almost my whole life. My folks moved here before my first birthday.

Before that they lived in Dodge City, Kansas the place I was born.

I recently found this photo which was taken in Dodge City in 1976.

The other thing I have from Dodge City that came from 1976... The Ruger Mark I my father bought there.

What is funny is that I had the gun for several years before I noticed the writing on the top.

On this day in History

75 Years ago today was "Black Sunday"...

The 1937 Flood was the greatest natural disaster in Northern Kentucky history. That year, the Ohio River reached a crest of 79.99’ – 27’ above flood stage.

I do have to admit that I just learned this fact today (walking past the TV news) and it has nothing to do with the name of this blog.  That came from my days as a disgruntled dish dog.

You can't say that on television

Well it sure wouldn't fly in most major news rooms.

Another local news story (from 2008) about TDI with this jaw dropping line about gun free zones.

"And now the tacticians believe these signs may actually serve as an invitation to Mass murders."

At this time the youtube has 50 hits. I want to see how far the Gun Blogs can push it.

Edited to add:  I got to this story a few years late.  Googling I found a blogger who was on the ball, and has some info on how the story was received.

From Where I Sit  (Go read the whole thing)

We have received many requests about the source for our assertion that most mass murders have occurred in otherwise “gun free” zones.

Based on data from the SEALE study, an analysis by TDI, and our own painstaking research, we are able to say definitively that most “active killer” shootings have occurred in so-called “gun free” zones. The experts who say they may be “invitations” are also John Benner and Ron Borsch who have six decades of law enforcement experience and training between them.

Here is the print story.

What is Better than Bionic Solders?

Bionic Solders at the local gun school.

Tactical Defense Institute and SRT Prosthetics have announced the first official amputee firearms training course already scheduled for next May.

Last Night (Friday)

Last night I proved my theory that I enjoy ammunition more than I enjoy alcohol.  It is a test I run every couple of years.

I also enjoy my friend's music, and I made my first attempt at recording video with my Droid 2. Honestly I was impressed with my phone which has been passed up by many new models. I wasn't too shaky either.

And a photo from a few weeks back (maybe the best pic I have shot).

Black (out) Sunday

Power out for about 2 hours.

One neighbor thinks it was a planned rolling blackout. Said the city had stop signs up at major intersections as if they knew it was coming.  If that is true I hope it was for some planned maintenance and not some penny pinching scheme.

At least I was somewhat prepared as my latest obsession is battery powered fans.

Saturday Rock & Roll

My friends will be playing at Blinkers Tavern again this Saturday (8pm-12).

If you are near Covington you can have dinner, take a walk down by the river, and come back for the rock & roll.

One bad thing about my droid is I shot these totally sun blind.

Took me forever to figure out which Jack White song this was, so if you where searching like I was, here it is.

Out on the town

My friend Gary (click to listen) has a gig tonight (8-12) at Blinker Tavern so stop by if you are local.

(I'm pretty sure no one local is reading my blog.)

(Ass-u-me.)  Just saw an amazing greeting post from Mark at Baby Troll Blog.
Also discounted my blog brother Merlin.

Fyi many years ago Gary was lead singer for a band called mad saint jack.

(yes, fanboyhood is in my nature.)

Edit: My friends Gary and (Icouldtellyoubuti'dhavetokillyou) were there.  Where were you?

Next Friday (June 17th) Gary will be playing again. Same time same place, plan accordingly.

I posed her for this pic. I am ashamed to share the same series of tubes with Oleg Volk.
