From Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy.
First several times I watched this I thought there was a cameraman downrange (at 6:40).
I was about to get all outraged on the internet, but taking one last look it seems like Larry takes several steps behind the firing line that the cameraman is standing on. Or is he?
Here is another video from behind the line. Looks to me like the cameramen are a few steps in front of the firing line. Okay one step for the cameraman on the left.
The cameraman on the right? If he was on the line wouldn't he be "in the shot" around 6:29? (First vid.)
Now I'm too confused to be outraged. Help me out here...
OK googled up the M1 and M1A1.
I like the MG vids more than the TV show.
Dragon Man is a nice fella from NY who escaped , and restores/collects military vehicles, builds custom Harleys , and peddles guns just east of Colorado Springs . IMO its unlikely a cameraman was allowed forward of the fireing line on his range . Camera angles can do funny things to perspective .
ReplyDeleteMel, the Dragon Man, is a good guy. He'd give you the shirt off his back. I usually shoot long guns at his range, and have been to his full auto shoot (in September) many times. He's very proud of his military museum.
ReplyDeleteI saw the Larry the Cable guy episode--I think he muzzle sweeps the guy behind the counter within 60 seconds of the show's opening.
I don't doubt Dragon Man is a cool dude who runs a safe range.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it was just poor editing.
he's got quite the reputation in the classic Harley world, and it's not a positive one.
ReplyDeleteAssuming, of course, it's the same guy. It might not be. sure looks like it though.
